Sweet Treats

Last day at school today so I thought I would share with you a little gift I made for a couple of colleagues.
I first saw these on Pinterest but they were made with large candy canes, I thought I would try using these mini ones.

Set the canes together to form a heart shape on baking parchment, melt some chocolate I used milk, spoon into the centre and decorate, I also added some edible glitter. Place in a cold place to set overnight.
I put four hearts plus some mini marshmallows on a square of cello paper and tied in a bow.

I decided to call them
If your looking for something quickish and homemade have a go at these
Merry christmas everyone

Tuesday Treasure

Popping in to say hi with a few recent finds
A lovely lady at the boot fair gave me this bottle of Goya perfume after I had explained what the black thing at the bottom of the bottle was, she didn't know about the little rubber bung all perfume bottles had in the past, she even found me the box, saying it would be going to a good home :)
(The rubber bung fits in the top to stop leakage this one had been pushed in too far)
A lovely pill box from my thoughtful daughter.
Earrings
My bargain of the day a pink tablecloth for 20p
And yet another handbag I have always bought handbags way before they became "vintage".

My daughter has been brought up on boot fairs and charity shop hunting, I am now paying the price as she hoards things for when she gets her own place :)
 maybe we should read this.

I hope your all enjoying the Summer weather here in the UK
have a lovely week.
Bye for now wherever you are

Hampton Court Flower Show 2013

Well I have been away so long I'm probably talking to myself, but just incase I'm not here are a few pics from the show.
It was really difficult to take pics as the sun was very bright (and hot)

The teapot did a little show first the lid lifted then flowers and clouds appeared and finally pink smoke came out of the spout, everyone who watched was given a box of teabags.
Flobadob Weed ( Bill and Ben for our younger viewers)
Eco Art installation is this gardening ?
There was a large collection of scarecrows from local schools
Hope you enjoyed the tour, the day was enjoyable but much too hot for walking around, we attempted to go in a couple of the tents but there was no air, it was like being in a sauna I'm sure I lost a couple of pounds.
I'm still slogging away at the books and my course is nearly finished, looking forward to six weeks off school.
bye for now wherever you are

A little bit of vintage

Popping in to post a couple of new old things :)

I have a few of these little cardboard cases, they are great for using to display my reworked jewellry, the dark pink one fits inside the other, the lady I bought them from only asked fifty pence, bargain !
This lovely compact I couldn't resist, I had promised myself I wouldn't buy any more after I had bought one to use, and upto now I have been good but this was so nice.
I picked up this tiny book at the bootfair on Sunday, books are another downfall but at 10p how could I leave it. It has lovely garden poetry in it.
Oh and this one,I have a lot of Ladybird books many from when my children were young, this one is for my daughters collection it brings back nice memories.
and this, there is something about the paper in these old books that I love.
Well thats all for now I'll leave you with one of my favourite flowers in my garden at the moment the lovely
