The last indulgence

I made this yesterday as a New Year treat, trifle always has a nostalgic quality about it, this one especially as the secret receipe :) came from my mum, and the glass dish came from my Mother in Law, she once told me the dish had another smaller one that went with it, fixing together somehow.I have a thing for presssed glass all shapes and sizes.

I thought I would share this pic of Zara in her Christmas leg warmers, they were bought for her by my daughter, I think she enjoyed the wrapping paper just as much :)

bye for now Cate x

Trifle is our favourite at Christmas - so much so I have to make one for my daughter without sherry and one for me with sherry!...and in matching pressed glass bowls with little legs. We are the only ones who adore it!Won't be doing that next festive season way too much for the old girl these days:)
Take care Pam x

Oh and the leg warmers are very stylish.

The glass dish is lovely, its reminded me of one I was given by my mum, it has a smaller bowl which serves as a stand for the big one to sit on, must of been style of the time. Zara in legwarmers-hilarious! Linda x

ooooo give ME that trifle!!
I think trifle always has to go in pressed glass, somehow it tastes better- like tea in china cups

Have a very happy new year

I much prefer trifle at Christmas than the rich Xmas pudding. My Mum used to make the best raspberry trifle in the world and even made her own custard, not the Birds stuff.
Cate looks adorable in that pic!
Wishing you a very Happy New Year. :0)
